Liam began dancing at the age of 9 and attended the Northern Academy of Performing Arts, in his hometown of Kingston upon Hull. At the age of 11, he became a pupil at White Lodge, the full time boarding school of The Royal Ballet.
Shortly after, he landed the role of Billy in the original cast of Billy Elliot the Musical, also featuring on the original soundtrack. In his 18 month run, he performed at The Royal Variety Performance, and was awarded a Lawrence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He was also invited by Anna Wintour to perform in New York City at the prestigious Met Ball. Liam has appeared on The Paul ‘O’ Grady Show, Blue Peter, Children in Need, The Sound of Musicals and the BAFTAs, celebrating the 60th Anniversary. Liam can also be seen in Elton John’s music video Electricity.
Shortly after leaving the West End, Liam was cast as Mikey Adams in the ITV Crime Series, Wire in the Blood, starring alongside Robson Green. At the age of 19, Liam completed his training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance with a first class BA (Hons) degree. Whilst training, he toured with Rambert Dance Company, performing Itzik Galili’s A Linha Curva.
For New Adventures, Liam has performed in Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker! Tony in Play Without Words and made his Principal debut as Count Lilac in Sleeping Beauty, also playing the role of Tantrum fairy, with seasons in the UK, Italy, Russia and the USA. During this period, Liam featured in Matthew Bourne’s Christmas for Channel 4, the BBC documentary A Beauty is Born and in January, 2013, was Dancer of the month in the Dancing Times.
